Disposable CPAP filters need to be replaced on a regular basis. If they appear to be dirty or discolored, it is time to replace them. They should be changed monthly, even if they look clean. Try not to use a disposable CPAP filter that is more than thirty days old.

Non-disposable filters are made of a foam material. It is recommended that you check and wash them once a week, especially if they have become discolored and even if they don’t look dirty. If you are unable to clean them or they begin to crumble, they must be replaced.
