Sleep Apnea Therapy
Sleep Apnea Therapy

Will CPAP Therapy Work for You?

CPAP is the treatment of choice for obstructive sleep apnea.

At Clinical Sleep Solutions, we offer a FREE 30-day trial, during which time you will be using a CPAP to treat your Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

During this period, a respiratory therapist will be in regular contact with you to provide assistance, ensuring that you get the best experience you can from the therapy. Before and after your trial therapy session, you will be asked a series of questions that will assist the therapist and your doctor in determining if CPAP is improving your health and quality of life.

Rather than you going out and purchasing an expensive CPAP machine and masks only to find out you can’t tolerate it, and/or you are not seeing an improvement in your daily living, your doctor wants you to try the therapy first, using quality equipment and professional, hands-on assistance.

How does our Free Trial Work?

Once we have received a prescription for CPAP therapy, our Patient Coordinator will contact you to book an appointment for set-up.

You will meet with one of our Respiratory Therapists, who will educate you about sleep apnea and CPAP therapy, and guide you in selecting the most appropriate CPAP machine, mask and humidifier.

Mask selection is critical to effective therapy. Patients are entitled to exchange masks an unlimited number of times during our 30-day trial period, at no cost.

You can use this therapeutic equipment for 30 days.  We will follow-up with you on a weekly basis to see how you are doing, and make adjustments as necessary. Our commitment is to help you succeed in therapy.

Follow-ups Increase Success

Medical studies have shown that between 50% and 60% of patients discontinue therapy, for a variety of reasons.

At Clinical Sleep Solutions, we are committed to your success in therapy. According to our most recent survey, 80% of our patients complete their 30-day trial and continue with their CPAP therapy for many years.

We believe the difference is in our follow-up procedure, which includes:

  • A phone call every week during your 30 day trial, to see how you are doing, and offer suggestions about how to improve results.
  • Follow-up oximetry at the end of the trial, and every 3 months for the first year, to measure how effective the therapy has been in treating your sleep apnea.
  • Downloading data from your CPAP/BiPAP machine to monitor how you are using the equipment, with a view to improving results.
  • Free Clean-Up Clinics twice a year to check out and clean your equipment.
